Ongoing partnership between KidsAbility and Region of Waterloo supports children to get the COVID-19 vaccine

Waterloo Region – Since November 2021, KidsAbility has been partnering with the Region of Waterloo to provide additional support at Special Accommodation Clinics to make it easier for some children to get the COVID-19 vaccine.

KidsAbility staff have already volunteered their time and talents to support hundreds of children to be successfully vaccinated in a sensory-friendly environment. The focus of these additional clinics will be to support children as young as six months up to 17 years of age.

Three clinic dates have been confirmed so far:

  • Saturday, September 17
  • Saturday, September 24
  • Saturday, October 1

Anyone who feels their child requires the additional support of a sensory-friendly clinic is encouraged to contact the Region of Waterloo for a referral form: phecovidimms@regionofwaterloo.ca or call 519-575-4400.

As more Special Accommodation Clinic dates become available they will be posted on the Region of Waterloo website: Get a Vaccine - Region of Waterloo.
