New playgrounds are coming to four City parks

Throughout August, the City will be replacing the playgrounds at four parks:

  • Dickson Park, 30 Parkhill Rd W
  • Fairlake Parkette, 11 Fairlake Drive
  • Greenway Park, 105 Glamis Rd.
  • Civic Legion Park, 575 Margaret Street

The new playgrounds will provide an inclusive experience by offering a variety of equipment for all ages and levels accessibility. 

Please be aware that during these upgrades the playgrounds will be unavailable for use. Please see our list of playgrounds for an alternative during the renovations.

Timeline

July26 – August 4 – Removal of old playgrounds, and benches
August 7 – 11 – Removal of play surfaces and prep work for the new playgrounds
August 14- 25 – Install of the new playgrounds and re-surfacing of the play area

All four playgrounds are anticipated to be open for use by August 25.
