More drive-thru vaccination clinics at Bingemans this week
Waterloo Region – The drive-thru vaccination clinics at Bingemans Conference Centre are making it easier for some residents of Waterloo Region to get vaccinated. As a result, the Waterloo Region Vaccine Distribution Task Force is extending the drive-thru option for another week.
The drive-thru vaccination clinic may be particularly appealing to anyone with mobility challenges who would find it easier to get vaccinated in the comfort of their own vehicle. Members of the public are encouraged to bring family members, friends and neighbours who otherwise might not have the opportunity to get vaccinated.
The drive-thru vaccination clinic will be in operation this week on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 5-9 p.m. No appointments are required for first or second doses. The Pfizer vaccine will be available for everyone 12 years of age and older.
There are many opportunities for residents of Waterloo Region who still need to get a first or second of the vaccine to get immunized this week. Vaccines are also available at many family doctors’ offices (for their patients) and pharmacies.
