Media advisory: Official opening of the new domestic arrivals building at the Region of Waterloo International Airport (YKF)
Region of Waterloo, ON – On April 21, 2022, the Region of Waterloo International Airport (YKF) will open the new domestic arrivals building. The building is one part of the airport’s $35M Airport Terminal Expansion Project, funded in part by the Regional Municipality of Waterloo, and in part by the Government of Canada through the Canada Community-Building Fund, which contributed $8.1M to the project.
In 2022, 700,000 passengers are expected to travel through YKF. The new domestic arrivals building is the first step to improve the passenger experience and meet increased demand.
