Waterloo Region – The ground-breaking ceremony for ION Stage 1 Light Rail Transit will be rescheduled at the request of the Province due to the recent cabinet shuffle. The ground-breaking was originally scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on Friday, June 27.

When confirmed, the ground-breaking ceremony will take place at the future site of the ION Operations and Maintenance Storage Facility (518 Dutton Drive in Waterloo).
