Waterloo Region – Here’s a list of Region of Waterloo service changes for the Family Day holiday - Monday, February 19, 2018.

What’s open/not affected:

The Region's Service First Call Centre, 519-575-4400,  Open 24/7

Charles Street Terminal Open - building hours: 8:10 a.m. a.m. – 1:00 a.m. Ticket sales 8:15 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.
Ainslie Street Terminal Open - building hours: 7:30 a.m. – 1:00 a.m. Ticket sales 10 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. (closed 1:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.)

GRT Customer Service – 519-585-7555 (available 24/7).

Waterloo Region Museum – Open Monday, February 20, 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. 

Family Day Weekend: See the new Wild Weather exhibit!

Joseph Schneider Haus – Open, Monday, February 19, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Family Day: Season Opening.

McDougall Cottage  Open, Monday, February 19, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Family Day Activities: Open for Family Day

Join us for some family friendly games, crafts, treats and tours of the Cottage. Admission is by cash donation.                                                                                        

Region of Waterloo International Airport – Open - Will not be affected. 

Garbage, blue box, green binCurbside collection runs as usual on holiday Monday, February 19.  Please have items to the curb by 7 a.m.

All waste sites are closed for residential waste drop-off.   Also closed are the Admin buildings for green bin container pick up.

What’s running on a special schedule:

Grand River Transit will be operating on a Sunday schedule for Family Day - Monday, February 19
Plan ahead and pick up a Day Pass for the family at either the Charles or Ainslie transit terminals or check grt.ca for the list of fare agents who sell the Day Pass.

What’s Closed:

All Regional Administrative Offices (99 Regina – Waterloo, 150 Frederick – Kitchener, 150 Main – Cambridge, Airport Administrative offices) – Closed 

Region of Waterloo Employment Centres (99 Regina, 150 Main, and 235 King)  - Closed

Cambridge and Waterloo small vehicle transfer stations for residential waste drop-off - Closed

All Region of Waterloo Library locations– Closed 

Regional Daycare centres and Home Child Care offices – Closed 

Sunnyside Wellness Centre – Closed

Community Alzheimer Day Program – Kitchener, Cambridge & Waterloo – Closed
