Waterloo Region – Here’s a list of Region of Waterloo service changes for the August Civic holiday, Monday, August 5, 2013.

What’s open/not affected:

Charles Street Terminal Open - building hours: 7:15 a.m. – 1:00 a.m. Ticket sales 8:15 a.m. – 6:15 p.m.
Ainslie Street Terminal  Open - building hours: 7:30 a.m – 12:00 a.m. Ticket sales 10 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. (closed 1:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.)

GRT Customer ServiceOpen Monday August 5, 2013
Hours of operation 7:30 a.m. – 8:30 p.m. will not be affected.

Waterloo Region Museum Open Monday August 5, 2013, 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Special event - KidSummer!  A family day where kids of all ages can have some good old fashioned fun. FREE admission for up to two children with each paid adult admission.

Joseph Schneider Haus Monday, August 5, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Region of Waterloo International AirportOpen - Will not be affected.

Waste, recycling, green bin and yard waste Pick up as usual on holiday Monday, August 5.

It’s Yard Waste collection the week of Aug. 5 is in Kitchener and Wilmot Township.)

What’s running on a special schedule:

Grand River Transit will be operating on a Sunday Schedule on holiday Monday, August 5.

What’s Closed:

All Regional Administrative Offices (99 Regina – Waterloo, 150 Frederick – Kitchener, 150 Main – Cambridge, Airport Administrative offices) – Closed

Cambridge and Waterloo small vehicle transfer stations for residential waste drop-off - Closed

All Regional Libraries – Closed

Regional Daycare centres and Home Child Care – Closed 

McDougal Cottage – Closed
