Waterloo Region – Here’s a list of Region of Waterloo service changes for Thanksgiving Monday, Oct. 10, 2016.
What's open/not affected
- Charles Street GRT terminal – building hours: 7:15 a.m. – 1 a.m. Ticket sales 8:15 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.
- Ainslie Street GRT terminal – building hours: 7:30 a.m. – 12 a.m. Ticket sales 10 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. (closed 1:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.)
- GRT Customer Service – Open Monday, Oct. 10, 7:30 a.m. – 8:30 p.m.
- Waterloo Region Museum – Open Monday, Oct. 10, Village 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Museum open to 5 p.m. Enjoy horse-drawn wagon rides, sheep to shawl demo and songs in our historic church.
- Joseph Schneider Haus – Open, Monday, Oct. 10, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The bake oven will be fired up. Stop by after the parade and sample a bite or two!
- Region of Waterloo International Airport – Open - Will not be affected.
- Waste, recycling, and green bin pick up as usual on holiday Monday.
What’s running on a special schedule
- Grand River Transit will be operating on a Sunday Schedule for Thanksgiving Day - Monday, Oct. 10.
- Plan ahead and pick up a Holiday Family Pass at either the Charles or Ainslie transit terminals or at the Day Pass agents.
