How does Thanksgiving Holiday Monday affect services at the Region?

Waterloo Region – Here is a list of Region of Waterloo service changes for the Thanksgiving holiday Monday, October 8, 2012.

What’s open/not affected:

GRT Terminals hours of operation will not be affected.

GRT customer Service – Hours of operation 7:30 a.m. – 8:30 p.m. will not be affected.

GRT bus routes will be operating on a Sunday Service Schedule – visit www.grt.ca for details. 

 Waterloo Region MuseumOpen - Thanksgiving Holiday Monday - Celebrate Fall Harvest Day at Doon Heritage Village!  Regular admission and hours  

Joseph Schneider Haus - Open – Thanksgiving Holiday Monday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

McDougall Cottage – Closed

Region of Waterloo International Airportwill not be affected. 

Sunnyside Home Tuck Shop - Open 
Sunnyside Home - Fabulous Finds Gift Shop – Open
Sunnyside Home’s Sand hills Café - Open 

Waste/recycling/green bin pick up will not be affected. Pick up as usual on Thanksgiving Holiday Monday.

Cambridge/Waterloo landfill sites and transfer stations – Normal hours of operation

What’s Closed:

All Regional Administrative Offices (99 Regina – Waterloo, 150 Frederick – Kitchener, 150 Main – Cambridge, Airport Administrative offices) – Closed 

All Regional Libraries – Closed 

Regional Daycare centers and Home Child Care – Closed 

Sunnyside Home Administrative Office and Bank – Closed
Sunnyside Community Alzheimer Day Program - Closed
Sunnyside Wellness Centre - Closed
Sunnyside Reception – Closed
