Help shape the City’s inclusiveness standards

Everyone wants a city where they feel connected, involved and have a voice. A city where opinions can differ, but are still respected. A city that values inclusiveness.  The City of Cambridge is committed to offering services that connect with our values of inclusiveness, respect, integrity and service.  Community consultation plays a vital role.

We need your help. In order to ensure open dialogue for City decision making, , the City is developing a decorum policy for public meetings. The intent of the policy is to establish a common understanding of standards and behaviours expected when attending council meetings, public meetings and city events to ensure they are free from harassment, interruption, fear and intimidation. The City is committed to a culture of inclusiveness that allows citizens the opportunity to get involved in local government.

Take the survey today and share your thoughts around inclusiveness and appropriate behavior at City public meetings, council meetings and city events.

Take the survey at www.engagecambridge.ca. Survey closes Wednesday, Feb. 15 at 4 p.m.
