Get your first dose of COVID-19 vaccine this week at Cambridge Pinebush vaccination clinic
Waterloo Region – As highly transmissible COVID-19 variants of concern continue to spread in the community, individuals who have not yet received a first dose may want to take the opportunity to pre-register for an appointment right now. Anyone who pre-registers will get an invitation to book an appointment the very same day.
Although most vaccination clinic locations in Waterloo Region are close to capacity this week, there are thousands of appointments available at the Cambridge Pinebush vaccination clinic.
“The Region of Waterloo Vaccine Distribution Task Force is committed to getting first doses in arms as quickly as possible so everyone who wants the vaccine has the opportunity to get it,” said Shirley Hilton, Deputy Chief for Waterloo Region Police Service and head of the Waterloo Region Vaccine Distribution Task Force. “Anyone who has been thinking about getting the vaccine might like to know that it’s easier than ever to get a first-dose appointment right away.”
Members of the public who are 12+ are strongly encouraged to protect themselves and those they love by pre-registering for the vaccine right away: COVID-19 Vaccination Pre-registration.
First Nations, Métis and Inuit immunizers and cultural support are available at the Cambridge Pinebush vaccination clinic Monday through Friday.
The Cambridge Pinebush vaccination clinic is located at SmartCentres, 66 Pinebush Road in Cambridge. Free parking is available near the entrance. The site is accessible via Grand River Transit and MobilityPLUS. For more information, visit the Grand River Transit website.
Individuals who are waiting for second-dose appointments are asked not to show up at a vaccination clinic without an appointment. If you pre-registered for an earlier second dose, the Region of Waterloo will contact you directly in the coming weeks.
