Franklin Boulevard Weekend Closures for Surface Paving
Waterloo Region – Construction requires the closure of Franklin Boulevard from South of Savage Drive to South of Main Street between 6 a.m., September 10 and 6 a.m. September 12, 2016 (weather permitting) as well as the closure of Franklin Boulevard from North of Clyde Road to South of Savage Drive between 6 a.m. September 17 and 6 a.m. September 19, 2016 (weather permitting).
The Region will be completing surface paving and line painting within the areas identified above. Posted detours will direct traffic around the closures. Access to side streets and properties within the closure limits on Franklin Boulevard may be limited and may require drivers to follow a particular route.

Once the surface paving in the above noted area is complete, Franklin Boulevard will have six fully functioning roundabouts completed at the intersections of Pinebush Road, Sheldon Drive, Bishop Street, Clyde Road, Savage Drive and Main Street. In the completed sections, a center median has also been constructed between the roundabouts to enhance safety and improve traffic flow. To access businesses on the opposite side of the street, drivers will simply need to proceed to the next roundabout and make a U-turn to turn around.
