Franklin Boulevard section and 401 off ramp (exit 284) Closed on August 20th weekend

Waterloo Region – Construction requires the closure of Franklin Boulevard from Jamieson Parkway to Sheldon Drive along with closure of the exit ramp from eastbound 401 to southbound Franklin Boulevard in Cambridge between 6am August 20 and 6am August 22, 2016 (weather permitting).  

According to the Ontario Ministry of Transportation (MTO), exits both east and west of Franklin Blvd. will be open during this time. The Region will be completing surface paving and line painting at the new Franklin Boulevard / Pinebush Road roundabout. Pinebush Road between Conestoga Boulevard and Balmoral Road will be open to local traffic only with no access directly to or from Franklin Boulevard.  Access will not be available to the on ramp from northbound Franklin Blvd. to westbound Hwy 401 as it falls within the closure limits on Franklin Boulevard.

Advance signs alerting drivers are in place and will remain throughout the closure.  Access to side streets and properties within the closure limits on Franklin Boulevard may be limited and may require drivers to follow a particular route.  Contact the Region for details.
