Final asphalt paving scheduled for University Avenue, May 24 – 27

Waterloo Region – GrandLinq has advised the Region of Waterloo that they require a four-day closure of University Avenue for final asphalt paving.

The full closure of University Avenue, between Phillip and Seagram, will begin on or about Wednesday, May 24 and continue through Saturday, May 27. The work will see GrandLinq crews place the final layer of asphalt at the University Avenue light rail transit crossing. The detour during this time will be Phillip-Columbia-Westmount-University.

Construction will generally take place between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. The timing of all work is subject to weather conditions and construction constraints.
