Final asphalt paving scheduled for Columbia, May 29-June 1

Waterloo Region – GrandLinq has advised the Region of Waterloo that they require a four-day closure of Columbia for final asphalt paving.

The full closure of Columbia, between Phillip and Hagey, will begin on or about Monday, May 29 and continue through Thursday, June 1. The work will see GrandLinq crews place the final layer of asphalt at the Columbia light rail transit crossing. The detour during this time will be Phillip-University-Westmount-Columbia.

Construction will generally take place between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. The timing of all work is subject to weather conditions and construction constraints.
