Extended hours for Regional building cooling spaces
Waterloo Region – Due to the extended heat warning issued by Environment and Climate Change Canada for Waterloo Region, cooling space hours at select Regional buildings are being extended until Friday, June 21.
- 150 Main Street, Cambridge will stay open until 6 p.m.
- 150 Frederick Street, Kitchener will stay open until 9 p.m. on June 19 and until 5:30 p.m. on June 20 and 21.
Extended Saturday, Sunday and statutory holidays hours will begin at these two buildings on the following dates, for the summer. Weekend and holiday hours will be from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

- 150 Fredrick Street, Kitchener – Saturday, June 29
Additional cooling spaces are located throughout Waterloo Region. They provide spaces for the public to get temporary relief from heat during each location’s regular business hours. For a list of cooling spaces in the region, visit regionofwaterloo.ca/coolingspaces.
