Enjoy Easter activities, drop-in programs and art exhibits in Cambridge over the long weekend
Cambridge, Ontario. Mar. 26… Visit the Cambridge Farmer’s Market on Saturday Mar. 31 for some Easter-themed family fun. Open from 7 a.m. – 1 p.m., the market has something for everyone. With all the ingredients for a delicious Easter dinner shoppers can find fresh meats and produce, cheeses and desserts while the kids enjoy some Easter fun.
There will be kids’ crafts throughout the day, and Easter egg hunt at 10 a.m. and Easter cookie decorating at Wesley United Church from 9 – 11:30 a.m.
The W.G. Johnson and John Dolson centres are open for regular programming on Saturday and Monday. Contact the individual centres for hours and drop-in program information.
Cambridge Centre for the Arts and Idea Exchange both have exhibits on display on throughout the weekend. The arts centre is showcasing the works of Todd Degooyer, an artist who paints on accordion-shaped surfaces to create an unusual visual impact with shifting perspectives. Transformed Through Touch, a collaborative project with the deaf/blind community and artists Gareth Lichty, Gary Kirkham and Meghan Sims, is on display at the Queen’s Square gallery until April 8. As well, Design at Riverside is hosting the Waterloo Architecture 50th Anniversary Exhibition: Questioning the Canon. For more information, visit www.ideaexchange.org.
