Construction Notice: Concession Street watermain installation, June to October 2023

About the project

Replacement of watermain at Concession Street Bridge. The original watermain was damaged by ice jam on the Grand River in February 2018. The new watermain will be fixed to the south side of the bridge (downstream) to protect it from damage. 

Timing, closures and detours — starts June 27

The Concession Street Bridge will remain open to vehicle and pedestrian traffic while construction work is completed. Short-term travel lane closures and traffic control with flag persons are planned for this summer. Signs will be posted in advance of lane closures or detours.
