Civic Holiday waste collection and disposal

Waterloo Region – There will be no change to the curbside waste collection schedule on the Civic Holiday.    Regular green bin, blue box, garbage and yard waste collections will take place on Monday, August 5, 2013.

All Region of Waterloo waste management sites will be closed for residential drop-off on Monday, August 5.  This includes:

• 201 Savage Drive, Cambridge,
• 925 Erb St. W., Gate 2, Waterloo, and
• the Elmira transfer station.

 Some curbside waste collection and preparation tips:

• All waste items must be at the curb by 7 a.m. on your regular collection day.
• Waste containers must weigh less than 23 kg (50 pounds) for collection.
• Blue boxes should be no taller than 40 cm (16 inches).
• Yard waste should be in paper bags only (no plastic) or bundled in 92 cm (3 feet) lengths.
