City to gradually reopen facilities and recreation programming
Cambridge, Ontario. January 28, 2022 – With key public health and health care indicators starting to show signs of improvement, the Ontario government has released details of steps to gradually ease public health measures, starting on Monday, January 31, 2022.
In response to Provincial direction, the City of Cambridge will gradually reopen its city facilities and recreation programming.
“We are all looking forward to reopening and getting back to all the things that make this community such a great place,” said Mayor Kathryn McGarry. “Our staff and so many others have been incredibly resilient and working diligently to maintain service in a safe way. We look forward to welcoming you again soon.”
- On January 31, all arena facilities and online registration only for Recreation and Culture programs will re-open.
- Indoor city facilities will continue to operate at 50 per cent capacity to reduce transmission of the rapidly spreading and highly transmissible Omicron variant.
- Summer camp online registration will open on February 1.
- All recreation programming at our aquatics and recreation facilities will resume starting February 7.
- Visit our Public Skating page for information and hours of operation.
- Visit our Register for a Program page for a list of scheduled programs.
- Aquatic schedules are available at: www.cambridge.ca/swimschedules.

- Masks are still required in the change room area and throughout the building unless you are engaged in physical exercise. Please continue to practice physical distancing wherever possible and do not gather in lobbies or hallways.
