City of Cambridge to conduct a facility emergency preparedness drill at City Hall campus

 

Today at 11 a.m., the City of Cambridge will conduct a facility emergency preparedness drill at City Hall campus at 50 Dickson Street. Emergency preparedness drills, such as this one, are an essential part of the City’s ongoing efforts to test emergency preparedness policies and procedures to ensure City staff have the training and practical experience to respond effectively to a facility emergency or incident.

Similar to a fire drill, this exercise will focus on a simulated active threat incident engaging City staff who work at this location.

What:                Facility Emergency Preparedness Drill

When:               Wednesday, September 28, 2022

Where:              City of Cambridge City Hall Campus, 50 Dickson Street

Those in the immediate area may observe the following:

  • Emergency response units and personnel on or near the site
  • Individuals evacuating the building
  • Active threat announcements coming through speakers
