City launches improved online registration system for classes and programs

Cambridge, Ontario. July 12, 2017… The City of Cambridge has launched an enhanced online registration system today for recreation classes and programs. The new and improved Cambridge Online Registration for Activities and Leisure (CORAL) is a user-friendly system that provides an easy and convenient experience.

“Cambridge is a city that prides itself on its recreation and leisure opportunities,” says Tricia Lewis, Director of Recreation Services. “We want to offer the community convenient ways to get involved in those opportunities to better support active lifestyles and a high quality of life.”

The new CORAL offers residents a wide range of services including easier registration, payments, family profiles, and facility rental information. Users can also search upcoming classes and create wish lists to save potential choices before registration opens.

The enhanced search feature allows users to search programs and classes by keyword, age, day, time, location or instructor to better find the best program options. Community members looking to book a facility such as an arena, pool or sportsfield, can now check availability online.

“We’re really excited to be launching this new system,” remarks Glenn Gedge, Director of Administration. “The new CORAL will offer an improved customer experience for community members with more features and improved capabilities. Users will be able to quickly and conveniently manage their individual and family recreation registrations and easily access tax receipts.”

In addition to the registration features, the new CORAL provides improved account features that let users view activity schedules for multiple family members from one convenient dashboard, share to social media, track payments and print out receipts and tax information.

The revamped online system is one of the initiatives under the City’s strategic plan to actively support and facilitate community access to services related to health, wellness and personal development.

Existing CORAL users will need to create a new account for the new system. For more information and detailed registration steps for both new and previous users, visit www.cambridge.ca/register.
