Christmas holiday waste collection

Waterloo Region - Over the Christmas holiday season, there is no change to waste collection.

Regular collection will take place on Monday, December 26 and Tuesday, December 27 and the balance of the week. Regular collection will take place on Monday, January 2, 2012 and the balance of that week.

Separate curbside Christmas tree collection in Cambridge, Kitchener and Waterloo runs January 2 - 13, 2012, on the same day as regular garbage collection. Township residents can consult their collection calendar for collection options.

How residents can help with collection:

• Place green bin, recycling, garbage and Christmas tree at ground level at the end of the driveway.

• Have all waste out by 7 a.m. on your regular collection day.

• Only trees free of all plastic and decorations will be collected.

• Cut large trees in half.

• Do not place on top or behind a snow bank. All items should be within easy reach from the road. Dig out snowed in or plowed in material.
