Celebrate Canada Day in Cambridge this weekend
Cambridge, Ontario. June 26, 2018… Enjoy the Canada Day long weekend in Cambridge with a day-long event in Riverside Park, outdoor swimming and kids' crafts at the Farmers’ Market.
Find everything for the perfect Canada Day barbeque at the Cambridge Farmers’ Market, open 7 a.m. – 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 30. Shop a wide variety of local vendors featuring fresh meats, produce and cheeses. In honour of Canada Day, a kids’ craft station will be running featuring a Canada-themed craft. After shopping, take advantage of the long weekend weather and spend some time outside at one of our parks or outdoor pools. All three outdoor pools are open on Saturday and Monday, and city spray pads are open all weekend long.
On Sunday, July 1, Canada Day celebrations begin in Riverside Park, 49 King St. W., at 8 a.m. with a fishing derby followed by the annual parade at 1 p.m., beginning at the corner of King Street and Bishop Street and travelling down King Street towards Eagle Street. The annual Canada Day event features carnival rides, a children’s play area, retail and food vendors, a beer garden and live entertainment. The fireworks display is set for 9:40 p.m.
The City would like to remind the community that fireworks cannot be set off in parks and public places without a proper permit. For more information on obtaining a permit, contact clerks@cambridge.ca.
