Business Aviation Lands in Waterloo Region
Canadian Business Aviation Association 2018 convention focusses on critical issues and new business opportunities
June 12th, 2018 Business aviation’s biggest event, the Canadian Business Aviation Association convention and exhibit, CBAA 2018, has landed in the Waterloo Region.
About 600 business aviation professionals are expected to attend the two-day convention, which features a dynamic educational program and memorable static display and exhibit held at the Chartright Air Group FBO at the Region of Waterloo International Airport (YKF).
“We are delighted to welcome Canada’s business aviation leaders to the Waterloo Region,” said Chris Wood, Airport General Manager of the Region of Waterloo International Airport, which is the Diamond sponsor of the event, along with Chartright Air Group. “Business aviation is an important part of our airport community and a critical asset for many of the companies headquartered in the region. We are very pleased that we are able to show these influential leaders our dynamic community and facilities.”
Adam Keller, President of the Chartright Air Group had a warm welcome for the business aviation community as well “Over the course of this week we have the opportunity to renew old acquaintances, view new technologies and gain a better understanding of the capability of our industry. Business aviation is an economic powerhouse in Canada, generating $12.1 billion annually, and employing 47,000 Canadians – 23,000 of them directly. The exhibit and static, held at the Chartright FBO on Thursday, June 14th, features 59 industry-leading vendors plus 21 aircraft, providing an excellent platform for members of the business aviation community to build relationships and do business. The static will display aircraft from Beechcraft, Bombardier, Cessna, Dassault-Falcon, Embraer, Gulfstream, HondaJet, and others, as well as historic airplanes including the legendary CWHM Lancaster, presented by SKIES Magazine and the MIG-15, 133 Silver Star and DH-115 Vampire presented by Waterloo Warbirds.
CBAA 2018 in the Waterloo Region is a one-of-a-kind opportunity for business aviation operators to perfect skills, get critical briefings and connect with their colleagues.
