Bob McDonald helps Region with launch event on Biosolids Strategy
Waterloo Region – The Region of Waterloo is starting the process to create a new Biosolids Strategy with a launch event on November 17. Special guest Bob McDonald, host of CBC’s “Quirks and Quarks,” will be speaking on the topic
The event is an opportunity for the public to gain an understanding of biosolids and why we need to plan for them and to engage with Region staff. It will be an open house format with displays and information. Regional staff will answer questions and discuss the topic.
Seating in the theatre is limited for Bob McDonald’s talk, so please register at www.regionofwaterloo.ca/biosolids to get a seat. Overflow seating will be available to view the presentation on a screen outside the theatre.
“A growing community needs to plan for the future and biosolids are an important part of this plan,” said Region of Waterloo Water Services Director Nancy Kodousek. “This event signals the start of a long process to work with the public to identify the best possible strategy for our community.”
