Better Supports for Breastfeeding in Waterloo Region
Region of Waterloo Public Health is celebrating World Breastfeeding Week (October 1 to 7) with a number of new and improved breastfeeding resources and services. Breastfeeding parents will be able to take advantage of the following:
- A new series of online instructional videos
- Improved breastfeeding clinic locations that are in the community as opposed to a hospital setting,
- Facebook live chat with renowned breastfeeding expert Dr. Jack Newman

Videos
- A series of new breastfeeding videos aimed at helping new parents with common breastfeeding questions and concerns. Shared through @ROWPublicHealth and Public Health’s Facebook page.
Facebook Live chat with Dr. Jack Newman - Friday October 7, 4:00 p.m.
- Watch Dr. Jack Newman and a Public Health Nurse chat live on the Public Health Facebook page about common issues facing breastfeeding parents in Waterloo Region.
New locations for breastfeeding clinics!
- Public Health Breastfeeding Services clinics (previously located at Grand River Hospital and Cambridge Memorial Hospital) have been moved to 99 Regina St. S., Waterloo & 150 Main St., Cambridge.
- Clinics run Monday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday mornings by appointment. Call 519-575-4400 (TTY 519-575-4608) to book breastfeeding help for babies of any age.
