A Heat Warning is Expected for Waterloo Region

We have had early notification from Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) that a Heat Warning is expected for Waterloo Region, beginning this weekend.

Daytime high temperatures are expected near 31 degrees or higher and will occur on Sunday and Monday. Humidex values near 40 degrees are likely with little night time relief from the heat.

Regional Cooling Centres will be open on Sunday and Monday during normal business hours to offer relief to the public during the heat warning.
