Port Dalhousie Beautification and Works Committee
The Port Dalhousie Beautification and Works Committee (PDBWC) is a volunteer, citizen-driven, not-for-profit organization dedicated to the beautification, preservation, and enhancement of Port Dalhousie.
About us
The mandate of the PDBWC is to enhance the Port Dalhousie community with projects that enhance, restore, and preserve our natural and historic assets, as well as host events for the community that are free, accessible, inclusive, and unifying. Annual events and projects include:
- Craig Swayze Memorial Grandstand Spring Grounds Clean-Up
- Earth Day Port Dalhousie Community Clean-Up
- Planting and Maintenance of Downtown Port Planters and Gardens
- Free Outdoor Music Concerts at Port’s Old Lock One Stage
- Halloween Walk for Children / Families Through Downtown Port
- Christmas Candlelight Stroll
- Bottle Drive Recycling Program
Get involved
The PDBWC encourages involvement from residents, businesses, and visitors who share the same love of the community, its history, and its future. Volunteers find friendship, fun, and a pride in contribution. There is no specific time requirement, and the committee accommodates volunteers’ busy schedules. Without volunteers, none of their projects or events happen, and there are many things to get involved in.
For further events, projects, meetings, please find the committee's updates on Facebook, or email portdalhousie@yahoo.com to sign up for committee emails and newsletters, or volunteer.
