Kiwanis Field
Located at 240 St. Paul St. W. at the Seymour-Hannah Sports and Entertainment Centre, Kiwanis Field is a football and soccer stadium large enough to accommodate regulation CFL football games, FIFA soccer games and field lacrosse. The field is in use from mid-April to mid-November each year; a longer season than any other sports field in the city.
The stadium is outfitted with:
- Exterior lighting to accommodate night games
- Bleachers that can accommodate 800 spectators
- Artificial turf, allowing for fewer game cancellations due to inclement weather
- Accessible change rooms, showers and washrooms
Rental rates and fees
Kiwanis Field is available to rent, subject to the following rates and fees. All prices include HST.
- Prime Time Commercial / Private Rental: $222.35 per hour
- Prime Time Adult Rental: $129.85 per hour
- Prime Time Youth Rental: $84.45 per hour
Prime time hours include Monday to Friday from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. and Saturday to Sunday from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.
- Non-prime Time Commercial / Private Rental: $153.00 per hour
- Non-prime Time Adult Rental: $96.40 per hour
- Non-prime Time Youth Rental: $67.50 per hour
Non-prime time hours include Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Soccer Dressing Rooms: $21.20 per booking, per day
- Football Dressing Rooms: $31.25 per booking, per day
- Lighting Fee: $21.20 per hour
- Scoreboard Fee: $7.35 per hour
Kiwanis Field rental rules
- Please do not pick or pull grass fibers
- Always lift and carry goals and equipment. Do not drag them on the field
- Backpacks during certain events may be prohibited
- Please deposit all trash into trash cans
- Report all bodily fluid spills to staff immediately (vomit, blood, etc.)
- We encourage you to carry an appropriate first aid kit and cell phone for emergencies
- The field is open rain or shine, but will be closed during instances of thunder and lightning
- Please be mindful that artificial turf surfaces can become hot to the touch when exposed to direct sunlight (similar to metal surfaces)
Artificial turf field rules
Artificial turf does not regenerate like natural grass, so anything left on the turf remains there. This can create health and safety hazards and degrade the quality of the turf.
To preserve the quality of the turf and provide a clean and safe environment, the following activities and items are not permitted on the field:
- Dogs and other animals (except service animals)
- Bicycles, skateboards and in-line skates
- Motorized vehicles
- Chairs or benches
- Hair accessories that can become detached (such as barrettes, bobby pins, butterfly clips, etc.)
- Food and beverages (except for water in non-breakable containers)
- Alcoholic beverages
- Glass bottles or containers
- Sunflower seeds, peanuts and nuts
- Chewing gum
- Silly string and confetti
- Tobacco products (smoking is also prohibited on the field)
- Fireworks, rockets, portable heaters or any open flame
- Golfing, shot putting, javelin and disc throwing
- Unauthorized use of model planes or drones
- Metal cleats, spikes and high-heeled shoes
- Unauthorized use of painting, chalking, tape or other adhesive material
- Tent stakes, spikes, umbrellas with spike ends, corner flags, poles, sun shelters or any other pointy object that penetrates the field surface
- Suntan lotions, oils or creams of any kind. Please apply suntan lotion before entering the turf area
