Shinny Hockey (18+ and 45+)
The City of St. Catharines offers shinny hockey programming for residents and visitors throughout our arena and ice facilities.
You can register online for shinny hockey or on a drop-in first come, first served basis. Registering in advance secures your space to skate.
Our shinny hockey rates and fees include:
- Adult Shinny Hockey (18+) single admission: $9.90
- Adult Shinny Hockey (18+) 12-visit clip card: $98.55
- Women's Shinny Hockey (18+) single admission: $9.90
- Women's Shinny Hockey (18+) 12-visit clip card: $98.55
- Older Adult Shinny Hockey (45+) single admission: $9.90
- Older Adult Shinny Hockey (45+) 12-visit clip card: $98.55
- Older Adult Pond Hockey (65+) single admission: $3.70
- Older Adult Pond Hockey (65+) 12-visit clip card: $37.30
We offer free admission for your game's first four goalies. Additional goalies are charged an admission fee.
- Players of all abilities can participate in shinny hockey.
- There is a maximum of 24 players for each game.
- Sign-ins are not accepted until 30 minutes before your start time.
- Full equipment, including a CSA-certified helmet, and light and dark jerseys are required.
- Proof of payment (ex. wristbands) will be required prior to entering the ice surface.
- No headsets, cell phones or handheld electronic devices are permitted to be used while skating.
- Alcoholic beverages, illegal substances and anyone under the influence will not be permitted on the premises.
- All participants must wear skates while on the ice surface.
- All games are non-contact. No checking or fighting is permitted.
- No slap shots are permitted.
- Profanity and improper behaviour are not permitted.
- Report all accidents or injuries to arena staff members immediately.
- Anyone not adhering to the rules may be ejected from the game.
