The City of St. Catharines offers public skating programming for residents and visitors throughout our arena and ice facilities.

Our public skating rates and fees include:

  • Child pass (3 to 14 years): $3.35
  • Child 12-visit clip card: $33.25
  • Youth pass (15 to 17 years): $3.70
  • Youth 12-visit clip card: $37.20
  • Adult pass (18+): $5.15
  • Adult 12-visit clip card: $51.30
  • Older Adult pass (55+): $3.85
  • Older Adult 12-visit clip card: $38.90
  • Family pass: $13.60
  • Family 12-visit clip card: $135.35

Assumption of Risk

By engaging in ice skating, participants are deemed to have knowledge of and assume the inherent risks of skating, which include, but are not limited to the following;

  • Injuries that result from collisions or contact with other skaters.
  • Injuries that result from slips, trips and falls.
  • Ice conditions that may change over the course of the session due to temperature and skater traffic.

Public Skating Admission Requirements and Rules

  • Read and abide by all posted signs and warnings and cooperate with the arena staff.
  • Use of a CSA-Approved helmet is strongly encouraged.
  • All children aged 12 and under must be supervised on and off the ice by an adult.
  • Proof of payment (hand stamp / wristband) may be required to enter the ice surface.
  • No food, drink, headsets, cell phones or handheld electronic devices are permitted on the ice surface or players' benches.
  • Spectators must remain off the ice and behind the designated viewing areas.
  • Skates must be worn while on the ice surface.
  • Ensure your skates are properly fitted and laced before entering the ice.
  • Chairs, sleds, pylons, hockey sticks, pucks and other obstructions are not permitted on the ice surface.
  • Refrain from carrying children on the ice.
  • Alcoholic beverages, illegal substances and anyone under the influence will not be permitted on the premises.
  • Maintain control of your speed, course and direction. Horseplay is not permitted.
  • Do not skate in groups or stop in areas where you may obstruct other skaters.
  • Chain skating is not permitted. No more than two people may hold hands.
  • Do not throw ice or snow.
  • Do not sit on the boards.
  • Profanity and improper behaviour will not be tolerated; guests will be removed.
  • Wheelchairs are permitted on the ice when accompanied by a caregiver. Wheels should be free of debris.
  • Anyone not following the rules or staff directions may be directed to leave without refund.
  • Emergency exits and first aid are available—please contact staff immediately if assistance is needed.
  • Report all accidents or injuries to arena staff members immediately.
