Hampstead Place Reconstruction
The City is planning to complete necessary replacements of existing municipal infrastructure and road structure on Hampstead Place, from Carlton Street to Manchester Avenue, as well as necessary new infrastructure. The work that is to be completed as part of this construction project includes:
- Replacing the existing cast iron watermain with new PVC watermains, including the replacement of any substandard water services within the road allowance to the property line
- Replacing the existing clay sanitary sewer with new PVC sewers
- Installation of new catch basins to collect storm water at either end
- Installation of a new road structure including new barrier curb and asphalt pavement combined with a new 1.5m wide sidewalk on the east side
- In the areas of the service replacements and new installations, reconstruction of the road structure and replacement of the top course asphalt
- Boulevards and driveways will be restored, if disturbed during construction
Construction is expected to begin by mid to late August 2022 and the duration of construction will be approximately two and a half months.

Prior to the start of construction, the City is sought the input of area residents on the proposed plans:
