2022 Municipal Election

The municipal and school board election was held on Monday, Oct. 24, 2022. Residents headed to the polls to elect:

  • The Mayor of St. Catharines
  • Twelve St. Catharines City Councillors, two per ward
  • Six Niagara Region Councillors to represent St. Catharines
  • Trustees for the District School Board of Niagara and Niagara Catholic District School Board

Candidate Melinda Chartrand was acclaimed for Conseil Scolaire Catholique MonAvenir.

Please note that the Conseil Scolaire Viamonde (French Public School Board) race did not receive any nominations and therefore the one (1) candidate to be elected will remain vacant and no election will be held at this time for this race.
