Recreation Master Plan Advisory Committee
The City of St. Catharines' Recreation Master Plan Advisory Committee is a volunteer committee that advises Council on reports, projects and plans as they relate to the Recreation and Facility Programming Master Plan and their alignment with the master plan.
Meetings
The Recreation Master Plan Advisory Committee will meet bi-monthly, or as required. You can view our meeting calendar for upcoming meetings and read the committee's agendas and minutes to stay informed.
The Committee shall conduct its meetings in accordance with and otherwise comply with the City of St. Catharines Simplified Meeting Procedures for advisory bodies.
Purpose
The Recreation Master Plan Advisory Committee will :
- Provide advice to Council and staff regarding the Recreation Master Plan
- At the request of Council, review staff reports, strategies and project plans responding to Recreation Master Plan recommendations to ensure their adherence to the updated guiding principles contained within the master plan.

The membership term for the committee lasts for the term duration of City Council or as determined by Council.
Composition
The Committee shall be comprised of up to 7 citizen members who have a demonstrated interest and commitment to the delivery of quality municipal recreation services, programs and facilities and are willing to work toward the effective implementation of strategic direction provided within the Recreation Master Plan.
Reporting Structure
The Recreation Master Plan Advisory Committee reports directly to Council.
Administrative support to the Committee shall be provided by Community, Recreation and Culture Services, which shall assign a Staff Liaison to the Committee.
Additional staff resources as required from time to time will be provided by the department.
