Water and Wastewater Senior Credit Program
The City of St. Catharines offers the Water and Wastewater Senior Credit Program to homeowners and tenants aged 65 or over. Successful applicants can receive up to $100 in annual credit on their water / wastewater fees.
Eligibility
You may be eligible for the program if you are an owner or tenant who meets the following requirements:
- You are a City of St. Catharines water customer, and your annual bill exceeds $100.
- You reside at the property.
- The property is in the Single Family Residential classification.
- Your water and tax accounts are current and not in arrears.
- You are aged 65 or over.
- You receive the federal government's Guaranteed Income Supplement.
- If you are a tenant, you have a valid Tenant Mailing Contract that has been in effect for at least one year.
- If you are a tenant, you have a current lease agreement and proof of payment.
Apply
To apply, you can print out and complete our Waste and Wastewater Senior Credit Program Application or pick up a copy at City Hall. We only receive applications between Oct. 1 and Nov. 30 each year.
Submit your completed form to our Citizens First customer service desk at City Hall or you can mail it to:

Credit posted to your account
The credit is posted to successful applicants' water accounts in January of the following year and reflected on your next regular bill.
