Civil Marriage Ceremonies
The City of St. Catharines offers civil marriage ceremonies in Council Chambers at City Hall.
Book a civil ceremony
1. Please complete this form and click SUBMIT REQUEST. After you submit your Civil Ceremony Application Form, you will receive an email with your completed form included as an attachment.

2. Call us to confirm your booking and submit payment. It is important to note that your ceremony will not be accommodated if this step is not completed. Your ceremony is not booked by completing this form.
Other things to know:
- Some couples call us prior to completing this form to see which dates are available. During certain times of the year, we book up several weeks (or months) in advance. Though not required, we do encourage you to begin the process by calling or emailing us to check available dates.

- You can book a ceremony up to six months in advance with full payment at the time of booking. We recommend booking the ceremony at least four weeks in advance.

Ceremony times
Civil ceremonies are by appointment only and these appointments are limited in availability. They can be performed Monday to Friday, with timeslots at 9, 10, 11am or 2:30, 3:30 p.m.
Cost
If you'd like to book a ceremony at City Hall, it costs $345.85, including HST. This must be paid up front to secure the date and time. This amount includes a non-refundable cancellation fee of $150, including HST.
