Records & Information Management
The Records & Information Management Unit is responsible for setting policy and procedures regarding the handling, use, preservation, and disposition of the Service's information assets. This includes setting retention schedules for Service records, providing storage for maintenance of inactive records, safe preservation, and accessibility of archival records.

Categories of Criminal Offences

- Summary offences– not fingerprinted – i.e. Transportation Fraud, Trespassing by Night,Cause a Disturbance, etc.
- Hybrid offences– considered an indictable offence for the purposes of applying Section 2 of theIdentification of Criminals Act– Public Mischief, Obstruct Police, Careless Storage of Firearm, Sexual Interference
