Polling Module

The Polling module allows you to insert a one-question poll into the content of a web page. Visitors to that page will have the ability to vote on the poll using voting buttons.

To access the Polling module from the i:Create Content Management System (i:Create) workbench (back end):

  1. Click “More+” from the i:Create Utility Bar
  2. Select “Polling Module” from the dropdown menu
  3. Select “English” from the “Please select a language to begin” dropdown menu

This will take you to the “Polling History” page.

Create a new poll

To create a new poll from the “Polling History” page:

  1. Click the “Create New” button located on the right of the page
  2. Enter a title for the poll in the “Title field”
  3. In the “Poll” field, add the question you are asking
  4. Select the “Save” button
  5. In the “Option” field, enter the first response option
  6. Click the “Add” button
  7. Repeat steps 4 and 5 until you've added all of the response options
  8. Click the “Save” button located at the bottom of the page

If you'd like to return to the list of polls, select the “Polling History” button.

Add a poll to a content page

Now that you have created a poll, follow these steps to embed it onto any content page on your website:

  1. Navigate to the page you want to add the poll to
  2. Enter the “Editable” field
  3. Place your cursor where you wish to embed the poll
  4. Click the “i:Create Poll” button in the “Edit Toolbar”
  5. Select the applicable poll name from the list
  6. Click the “Submit” button to add the poll to the page

View poll results

i:Create tracks responses from the poll based on the number and percentage of votes for each voting option. You can view poll results at any time.

To check the poll results:

  1. Access the “Polling Module”
  2. Select English as your language to begin
  3. Click the view results link to the right of your poll

Edit or delete a poll

You can edit or delete a poll from your website using the Polling module.

To edit a poll:

  1. Access the Polling Module in i:Create
  2. Select “English” as your language to begin
  3. Click the “Edit” button located to the right of your poll
  4. Make all applicable changes
  5. Click the “Save” button

To delete a poll:

  1. Access the Polling Module in i:Create
  2. Select “English” as your language to begin
  3. Click the “Delete” button to the right of your poll
  4. Confirm the deletion by selecting “OK” from the delete confirmation pop-up box
