Available Lands

With Available Lands, you can display available property listings online to help developers and businesses find opportunities to invest in your community. You’ll be able to manage all properties in one central location. Learn how to use the Available Lands module that can be integrated into the i:Create Content Management System.

Accessing the Available Lands module

To access the Available Lands module, you need to:

  1. Navigate to the backend of i:Create
  2. Select the “More +” menu
  3. Choose “Available Lands” from the dropdown menu

This will take you to the “Listing” screen in the module.

Adding a property listing directly to available lands

To add a listing as an admin user, you need to follow these steps:

  1. Select the “Add New” button from the “Listing” screen in the Available Lands module
  2. Complete the property details
  3. Select the “Save” button located at the bottom of the screen

Complete the following property details when adding a new property:

  • Property type (for example, land or building)
  • Property sub-type
  • Transaction type – whether the property is for sale or for lease
  • Property code
  • Code
  • Zoning ID
  • Status – listing status as active or pending
  • MLS Property number/ID
  • Address
  • Latitude and longitude
  • Roll number
  • Description
  • Designation
  • Current/previous use description
  • Additional notes
  • Sales price and notes
  • Lease price and notes
  • Taxes and tax year

Complete the following details about the building:

  • Bath
  • Building name
  • Construction
  • Cooling and Cooling type
  • Drive-in-door, heigh and width
  • Exterior
  • Foundation
  • Heating and heating type
  • Washrooms
  • Water
  • Water supply
  • Year built

Complete the following fields with the land details:

  • Acres
  • Area
  • Depth
  • Frontage
  • Square foot range
  • Square footage

Complete the following fields to add the representative details for the property:

  • Brokerage
  • Representative name
  • Address
  • Phone number
  • Fax
  • Email address
  • Website

Complete the following fields to add the property owner details:

  • Name
  • Address
  • Phone number
  • Fax
  • Email address

Public submissions

Members of the public can add listings to Available Lands by completing the Public Submission form on your website. The Available Lands admin will receive an email when a new property has been added for review and approval. As the Available Lands admin, you will review the listing and change the status from “Pending” to “Active”. Once a listing is made active it will appear on the public website.

MLS integration

We can integrate the Available Lands module with local MLS Boards to automatically pull in listing data. Please talk with your GHD Digital Account Executive if you’re interested in interested in MLS integration.

In order to integrate with MLS, you’ll need to get approval from the MLS Board or Boards whose data you’d like to pull into the module, and the Board will need to be able to provide their data in a format that we accept (RETS data standard).

Please note

If your Available Lands module is integrated with an MLS feed to pull listings in automatically, MLS listings will show on the public interface only and you will not see them in the Listings view of the module back-end. This is because the information on these listings is owned and managed by the MLS board, and cannot be editing from our software.

Add a Zoning ID

When amid and public users add a new property listing to the Available Lands module, they select the “Zoning ID” for the property. You can add each Zoning ID for your community by following these steps:

  1. Navigate to the Available Lands module
  2. Select “Zoning” from the top menu
  3. Select the “Add New” button
  4. Enter the name of the Zoning ID you’d like to add
  5. Select the “Save” button to complete the process

Add property types

You can also add specific property types to the Available Lands module to help users filter the listings to find the type of property they need. For example, you may want to all users to indicate if a property is “Residential”, “Industrial”, “Farm”, “Multi-family”, etc.

To add a property type, you need to:

  1. Navigate to the Available Lands module
  2. Select “Property Type” from the top menu
  3. Select the “New” button
  4. Enter the name of the property type and any property subtypes in the fields available
  5. Select the “Save” button to complete the process

Users and permissions

If you would like to change the Admin user, you need to submit a ticket with GHD Digital and we will update the user.

As an “Admin” user, you can:

  • Set whether the property is active or pending
  • View all property listings
  • Control the property zoning information
  • Edit and control the property type and sub-type
