Bold, Italic, Underline
You can apply bold, italic or underline style to text using the i:Create Content Management System Edit Toolbar.
Accessible content
There are accessibility considerations to keep in mind when using these styling tools. They shouldn't be used for adding emphasis to text, and italics should especially be used sparingly or not at all. The same goes for ALL CAPS text. Underlining should only be used if this is the how your hyperlinks appear.
To draw attention to content in an accessible way, use accessible hotspots to draw attention such as:
Add styling
To add bold, underline or italic styling to text:
- Select the desired text
- Click the applicable styling button located on the “Edit Toolbar”
Remove styling
To remove bold, underline or italic styling from text:
- Select the desired text
- Click the applicable styling button in the “Edit Toolbar”
We always recommend avoiding and removing font stylings in all online content. If you must use a styling, bold should be used (but not for full paragraphs of text). Instead, use the accessible hotspots mentioned above whenever possible.
