Apply Styles
You can apply styles to text using the i:Create Content Management System (i:Create) Edit Toolbar.
This is used mainly to:
- Add a button style
- Add emphasis colour behind text
Button styling
In the i:Create Edit Toolbar, you have the ability to add a hyperlink and "style" it to look like a button.
To create a button:
- Select the text you would like to make into a hyperlinked button
- Select “Insert/Edit hyperlink” from the Edit Toolbar and follow the instructions for adding a hyperlink
- From the "Class" dropdown menu, select the colour of button you would like to use (colours are set based on your website design)
- Select “Insert” to add the button styling
You may want to use a button as a call to action to apply for a grant, donate money, or register for a program.
Styling with emphasis
This styling feature allows you to draw attention to a select piece of text. By applying emphasis to text, you will add a background colour making the text stand out on the page.
To add emphasis to text:
- Select the text you want to emphasize
- Click the “Styles” dropdown menu in the edit toolbar
- Select the colour of emphasis you want to use (colours are set based on your website design colours)
- Click the “Insert” button to apply the emphasis
You may want to style text with emphasis if you are advertising an important application or registration deadline.
