Accessible images

Images should never replace written text. Instead, they should provide a complementary visual. In order for an image to be accessible, you need to include alt text when you add an image to a content page.

Get permission

Before you upload an image to your website, make sure that your organization has the right to use the image. It can be tempting to find an image online through a web search, but this is often a form of plagiarism and something that your organization should avoid.

Review your style guide to determine the acceptable image size for your website.
