The Twitter timeline will appear as a long vertical timeline on your page. Consider using Layout Builder and place the Twitter feed on the right side of the page beside your other content.
Remove a Twitter feed from the home page
To remove a Twitter feed from your website's home page, you can follow these steps:
- Log in to the back end of i:Create
- Access the home page from the Page List
- Mouse over the Twitter feed
- From here you will see two options. You can either choose from the "Select Feed" dropdown menu or "Add Feed" option
- If you choose the "Select Feed" dropdown menu option, you'll need to click "Select" from the menu and this will remove the Twitter feed from displaying on the public website
- If you select the "Add Feed" button, you will see a list of all social media feeds linked on the page. Select "Delete" next to the Twitter feed that you'd like to remove from the home page
Add a YouTube feed
To add a YouTube feed, you will need an API key:
- First, create a Google account if you don’t have one already and log in
- Go to the Google Dashboard and select “Library” on the left-hand side
- Select “YouTube Data API v3”, select “Enable” and it should create a project (You may need to re-enable the API after the project is recreated)
- Once the “YouTube Data API v3” is enabled, select “Credentials” in the left menu
- Along the top, select “Create Credentials” and then select “API key”
Once you’ve created the API key, you will see an entry under the “API Keys” section. Under the “Key” column select the “Copy” icon to copy the API key.
Now, you need to:
- Log in to i:Create and edit a page where you’d like to add in the YouTube feed
- Hover over the feed and select the “Add Feed” button that will appear
- Locate your feed in the listing and select “Edit”
- Paste the API Key copied above into the “API Key” field and select save
Add an Instagram feed
As Instagram is owned by Facebook, you will need to convert the Instagram account to an Instagram Business Account or Instagram Creator Account and create a Facebook Page connected to that account.
When creating a feed, you need to:
- Log in to your site and edit the Instagram feeds
- Select “Continue with Facebook”
- You must log in to Facebook with the account connected to your Instagram account
- Once you have logged in, ensure that the "Manage your Pages" and "Access profile and posts from the Instagram account connected to your Page" options are set to "Yes" and then complete the login process
You will be redirected to a "Select Page" dialog where the selected Facebook pages will be presented in a dropdown. Now select the page tied to your Instagram account from the list and "save."
Link your web page to social media
When you create a new web page, there is an option within the dialogue that allows you to add social media images that you can link to your Twitter, Facebook or Instagram accounts. You can assign a custom image for social media by selecting an image from the File Manager. If you don't select an image, i:Create will default to your website logo. We recommend an image size of 1200 x 630.
