Creating FAQs

To add structured data mark-ups to frequently asked questions (FAQs), you need to:

  1. Place your cursor in the editable field where you'd like to insert an FAQ
  2. Select the "Insert FAQ" icon from the edit toolbar
  3. From the "FAQ Creator" pop-up box, enter the number of questions you'd like to include
  4. Select the "Insert" button to complete the process

This will add a table with question and answers fields to the page. Enter the first question in the row labelled "Q1" and add the corresponding answer into the row labelled "A1." Continue this process until you've added all of the questions and answers.

Adding and deleting questions

If you'd like to add another question to your FAQ, you can:

  • Select the "Add FAQ Row" icon from the edit toolbar
  • Right click anywhere in the FAQ table and select "Add FAQ Row" from the dropdown menu

If you'd like to delete a question from an FAQ, you can:

  • Select the "Delete FAQ Row" icon from the edit toolbar
  • Right click anywhere in the FAQ table and select "Delete FAQ Row" from the dropdown menu

FAQ best practices

Make sure that the questions you include in an FAQ are actually questions that are frequently asked. The questions should be written from the perspective of a website user. For example, you could mark up the following FAQ with structure data - "How do I apply for a building permit?"
