If you notice anything out of the ordinary or feel like something is not up to standard in Durham Region, please let us know.

We've highlighted the main concerns we receive and included the correct contact information below. You can also report general issues.

If a service is violating your Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) rights, tell us right away. We will work to resolve the issue as soon as possible.

There are many ways to prevent basement flooding. However, if it does happen, we may be able to help you.

If you see a watermain break, let us know right away.

If you see a dead or injured animal, do not touch it. Contact your local area municipality's animal services right away for help.

Street signs are important for road safety. Please report a downed sign.

Fallen trees can be a hazard. You should report fallen trees or tree limbs.

If you notice any problems with you drinking water such as an off taste or smell, please let us know. Contact the Works Department - Water Resource Monitoring and Protection at 905-668-7711 extension. 3488 or email the Water Resource Monitoring and Protection. When emailing the Region, please include your address and a telephone number where you can be reached.

It is illegal to dump garbage on the side of the road. If you see this, report it right away.

If you feel like the Region of Durham may be responsible for a loss or damage, file an insurance claim.

If you think a Regional Council member is not following the Council Code of Conduct, you can report them to the Integrity Commissioner.

Was your garbage or recycling left at the curb? We know mistakes happen, so let us know when they do.

The Ombudsman's Office helps you when you are not satisfied with the services you have received from The Regional Municipality of Durham, and the Region's response to your concerns, visit our Accountability and Transparency page.

If you notice any potholes on regional roads, report them to our Works Department.

The Province of Ontario, the Region of Durham and your local area municipality all work together to clear snow. If you notice a snow clearing issue, please tell us.

Traffic lights are crucial for keeping people safe. Please report if you notice a traffic light is not working properly.

Durham Region Transit (DRT) Customer Service Representatives are available seven days a week to answer all your transit questions and provide information about routes and schedules.

The Region needs to protect our drinking water. If you see more than one company using the same hydrant, please report water theft or unauthorized use.
