Should I use a high-back or low-back booster seat?

Only use a low-back booster seat if the middle of your child's ears are lower than the top of the vehicle seat or head rest.

When is my child ready for an adult seatbelt?

Your child is ready to use only an adult seatbelt when:

  • Sitting with their back against the vehicle seat, their knees bend naturally over the seat.
  • The shoulder belt rests over the shoulder, crossing the middle of the chest without touching the face or neck.
  • The lap belt sits low across the hips and not the abdomen.
